Frequently asked questions

What is your warranty policy?

Austin's Fire Pit Company builds fire pits that are tough — forged for the fire, the elements, and everything in between. If something takes a beating from normal wear and tear, impacts, or accidents, we'll work to repair it at a fair cost. If the damage is traced back to a manufacturing defect, we'll repair or replace it — no charge, no hassle. That's our word.

How is the warranty voided?

Take your CampFire Can to the wildest places on earth. Scratch it, dent it, get it dirty. That's what it's built for. If you bust something that affects how it works, send it back and we'll repair or replace the affected parts at a reasonable cost. And hey — we want to see where you take it. Send us your photos from the trail, the campsite, or wherever the fire takes you.

What is the return policy?

If you're not fired up about your Austin's Fire Pit for any reason, you may return it within 30 days of delivery.

Email support@austinsfirepits.com to kick off your return. Your return must be shipped within 30 days of the date your order was delivered.
Once we receive and inspect the return, we'll refund your product purchase price.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable, and customers are responsible for return shipping.

When will I get my order?

Your items normally ship out of our North Carolina facility in 5-6 days. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking number. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.

Do we loan FireCans for content creators or event organizers?

We keep a limited number of FireCans available for creators or event organizers who want to bring a fire pit along for the experience—but don't necessarily need one full time.

If you've got a trip, gathering, or idea where a fire pit adds something special, we want to hear about it. Tell us briefly where you're going, who you're bringing, and how you plan to capture and share the moment.

We're looking for people who create real experiences—those nights outside that naturally bring people together.

If it feels like a fit, we'll do what we can to get a FireCan in your hands.

Can I put wood or pellets in my FireCan?

No Way!

The FireCan is designed, tested, and is for propane use only. Using any other fuel, or attempting to burn anything on or around the unit, is unsafe and can lead to serious injury or death.

Keep it simple. Keep it safe. Use it as intended.

Why won't my FireCan light?

Don't worry—this is usually something simple.

First, check your fuel flow. Make sure all hose connections are secure: the black cuff should be tightened fully onto the tank, and the nut should be tight on your fire pit. Also double-check your tank—it may just be out of fuel.

The most common cause is a safety valve getting tripped, which can stop or restrict fuel flow. If that happens, follow these steps to reset it:

  1. Turn the tank valve to CLOSED.
  2. Turn the red valve on the hose to OFF (counter-clockwise).
  3. Slowly turn the tank valve to OPEN.
  4. Slowly turn the red hose valve to ON (clockwise).

Important: Don't open the tank or hose too quickly—doing so can trip the safety system again. Take it slow and steady.

Once everything is reset, follow the lighting instructions for your FireCan and you'll be back to the fire.

Can I run my FireCan off natural gas?

Let's just say it this way… NO!

The FireCan is awesome, and it's designed to run on propane only. It relies on the natural pressure stored in the tank to power the system and drive the flame exactly how it's desined to run.

Stick with propane, and you'll get the fire it was built for.

Can I hook my FireCan to my RV?

Our fire pits are designed to run on high-pressure propane . That’s part of what gives them their strong, efficient flame.

Most RV systems, however, use low-pressure propane (0.5 PSI). Because of that difference, connecting directly to built-in RV hookups will not give you the performance you’re looking for.

For the best results, we recommend using an RV splitter/regulator setup designed for high-pressure use. This ensures your fire pit runs safely, consistently, and at full performance. Check our shop page for that set-up.

Keep it simple, hook it up right, and enjoy the fire.

Veterans Discount?

We wouldn’t be who we are without the people who’ve stood the line for this country.

To our veterans and active-duty service members—thank you. Your sacrifice, your discipline, and your willingness to step up when it matters most are the reason we get to enjoy the freedom and open spaces we do today. We salute you, and we don’t take it lightly.

We also know that service doesn’t always end when the uniform comes off. Many veterans carry that same strength into everyday life, often without the recognition they deserve. If you’ve served, we want you to know you’re seen here.

If you’re a veteran, reach out at support@austinsfirepits.com—we’ll take care of you the best we can.

From our backyard to yours—thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your example.

We salute you.
